Welcome to the Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association website.

Since the Meiji era, Spirits & Liqueurs have been introduced to Japan along with Spirits & Liqueurs culture, and have steadily increased in popularity throughout the Meiji, Taisho, Showa, and Heisei eras, becoming an integral part of Japanese life. Currently, 116 member companies manufacture and sell whisky, brandy, vodka, gin, rum, liqueurs like canned-chuhai and cocktails, sweet wine, and akumochi (a type of liquor used in cooking). We also offer factory tours and events. Please visit the "Member Introduction" section to access the websites of each company and browse the various information.
Alcohol has long been considered a "panacea," but it also possesses the potential to cause intoxication. We are fully aware of our role as manufacturers of such products and have consistently and sincerely addressed social demands regarding alcohol-related issues, such as preventing underage drinking and drunk driving. We hope that this website will help you learn about our association's activities and foster a deeper understanding of the industry's efforts.
