What is the Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association?

The Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association (JSLMA), as the only organization of Spirits and Liqueurs manufacturers in Japan, engages in various activities to promote the healthy development of the Spirits and Liqueurs industry, including responding to inquiries from the public, disseminating information to its members, coordinating with regulatory agencies and related liquor industry organizations, requesting tax reforms, and establishing voluntary standards for liquor labeling.

We created a logo to help our customers choose our products.
In addition to complying with the Liquor Industry Association Law, alcoholic beverage manufacturers that produce Spirits and Liqueurs also adhere to their own voluntary standards for labeling whiskey, low-alcohol liqueurs, etc., in order to assist customers in their product selection.
We are engaged in various initiatives both domestically and internationally to address social issues related to alcohol, including raising awareness and education about responsible drinking, and setting industry standards for advertising and promotion.
JSLMA is a corporation established in July 1953 with the approval of the Minister of Finance, under the "Act on Securing of Liquor Tax and on Liquor Business Associations" which was enacted along with the "Liquor Tax Law" in the same year.
